Introduction

Coin of Constantine

The emperor Constantine is famous for making Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. This web site is dedicated to investigating just how true his concept of Christianity was to the religion preached by Jesus. It does not set out to attack Christianity, quite the opposite. I have attempted to look at the historic facts and circumstances in which the church was born in an objective manner and to put forward ideas regarding what Christianity really was intended to be and how its doctrines may have been perverted for political reasons.

It is the belief of the author that the religion propounded by Constantine could have been doctored to suit a Greco Roman audience by incorporating aspects of classical Greek mythology and Mithraism.

Some of the ideas proposed may appear familiar to many readers, but new evidence resulting from a careful study of archaeology, art and history is put forward to support the theories. If you read nothing else, please read the archaeology section. It contains the most unique research.

May I apologise if this site is rather large and graphic intense, but it's worth spending the time reading the sections that interest you and I have tried to use small size JPEGs that will load quickly.
